The Gloves Been Off The Moment He Announced He Would Run For President.....

The 2012 U.S. Presidential Elections is a challenge for incumbent Barack Obama. Five years ago, then senator from Illinois was under fire for what was perceived as a constant whisper campaign by conservatives the moment he announced he would run for the President of The United States.

As he gears up for a reelection against the potential Republican nominee, I want to go back to the many things the Republican Party tired in sabotaging Barack Obama. The gloves been off, and now we'll see the very same characters go after President Barack Obama. They want to deny him a reelection.

1. The Insight Magazine online publication making the claim that Barack Obama attended a madrassa in Indonesia when he was young. Fox News commentators John Gibson, Steve Doocy, Gretchen Carlson and Brian Kilmeade took aim at Barack Obama by claiming that then senator Hillary Clinton and her presidential campaign were responsible for the claim. The Barack Obama campaign responds back and calls the notion false. The campaign begins the boycott of Fox News.

2. The issue with his record as then state senator from Illinois. A pro-life activist Jill Stanek makes the claim that she knew Barack Obama when he was then a state senator, and made the claim that Obama was not concerned with a legislative bill that would prevent late term abortions. The talking point from conservatives such as Sean Hannity, and presidential candidate Newt Gingrich were that "[Barack Obama] is killing babies by supporting infanticide!" This issue would also come to light when Randall Terry, Alan Keyes and Jill Stanek were protesting President Barack Obama attending University of Norte Dame for a commencement.

3. A prominent Chicago pastor became the lightening rod for Barack Obama. Jeremiah Wright, a former pastor at the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago was the subject of various attacks from conservatives over his sermons in which it criticized the United States role in the world. Wright, a former U.S. military doctor was critical of issues by then President George W. Bush and Republicans, the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign taking using "racial politics" to scare white voters and the media for misquoting his sermons. Fox News, in particular Sean Hannity was invested in the controversy. Hannity had interviewed Wright during a segment of his show and they got into a heated debate over Barack Obama's association with the church. This issue continues to be a thing that most conservatives refuse to let go. Jeremiah Wright has long left the church and is doing speaking tours at colleges and theological seminaries. Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, Bill O'Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, Andrew Breitbart, and particularly Fox News continue to rehash this issue up once again and the 2012 Republican candidates promise that this issue will be mentioned again.

4. If you weren't aware of the whisper campaign about being Muslim, you're way out the loop. The never-ending notion that President Barack Obama is a closet Islamist radical was mentioned by conservatives. A conservative activist by the name of Andy Martin claims responsibility for the rumors. This controversy has been active during the 2004 U.S. Senate campaign in which Barack Obama handily defeated perennial candidate Alan Keyes. During the campaign, the supporters of John McCain's presidential campaign were making references to claims of his name. Cincinnati talk radio host, Bill Cunningham went onstage and made acknowledgement of "Barack Hussein Obama" in attempt to rile up voters still concerned with the fact his name is somehow tied to Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein. The madrassa story from earlier was a driving force to making conservatives suspect the presidential candidate was somehow a Muslim who plots on destroying the United States from within. As President Barack Obama, the claims of being a Muslim will never go away. The very fact that he attended the Trinity United Church of Christ is not enough to stop that rumor. When President Barack Obama went to Egypt to speak to the Islamic nation, that flared up more rumors of him being a secret Muslim. Recently, U.S. marines created a controversy by burning the Islamic Q'uran in Afghanistan. The president reached out to the leader of Afghanistan and apologized for the actions. U.S. presidential candidates Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich alongside former Alaskan governor Sarah Palin went on the offense claiming that President Obama has more sympathy for the "Muslims" than those who killed U.S. soldiers.

5. The alleged affairs by Barack Obama. From a conspiracy kook to a former campaign adviser, the Republicans were hoping that another "Monica Lewinsky" scandal to fall upon Barack Obama. The first one, Larry Sinclair. This man who has been known in the circles as a conspiracy kook was flaring up the rumor that Barack Obama had a homosexual affair with him while on a cocaine binge. Sinclair claims that the president is paying huge sums to prevent the stories from ever hitting the newspapers. Vera Baker, a former campaign supporter and adviser was allegedly involved in a romantic affair with then candidate Barack Obama during the 2008 U.S. presidential elections. Although she denied it, The Drudge Report and many conservatives were hoping that "smoking gun" is still loaded and hoping this issue will become a 2012 October Surprise.
 
6. The never-ending birth certificate issue. What was started by a vexatious litigant named Andy Martin, the  rumors of President Barack Obama's birthplace continue to be a hot issue within the conservative circles. Talk radio host such as InfoWars founder Alex Jones, conservative talk radio hosts Rush Limbaugh, Bill Cunningham, Lou Dobbs, Fox News commentators such as Andrew Napolitano, Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity were invested in the birth certificate. Ongoing activist Orly Taitz, WorldNetDaily contributors Joseph Farrah, Dr. Jerome Corsi, and controversial Black preacher James David Manning invested the controversy. Many conservatives continue to deny the fact that Barack Obama is indeed an American citizen. In 2007, the whisper campaigns of him being a Kenyan came forth after the Washington Times, WorldNetDaily and The Drudge Report took upon "facts" from members of his estranged father's family. Barack Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1961, and lived with his mother for a portion of his time growing up. During that time, he traveled from Hawaii, to Indonesia, back to Hawaii and then to the mainland. Before he became a U.S. senator, the rumors of his birthplace were mention but not to the degree as it is today. Barack Obama during the campaign released a short-form birth certificate stating his place of birth. That didn't satisfy conservatives. Orly Taitz leads the way in trying to bring lawsuits in federal court stating that she can prove Barack Obama is ineligible to be president. The conflict gotten worse. Donald Trump, a media mogul and potential candidate for president threw his weight into the debate. After a few moments of polling well against Mitt Romney, Sarah Palin and Chris Christie in a Republican match up against President Barack Obama, Trump decided to push the issue further by demanding the long form birth certificate. In April 2011, President Barack Obama presented the long form birth certificate. This issue hasn't went away. Taitz continues to push forth her lawsuits against President Obama and more conservatives are still unsure whether the president is an American citizen.

7. The guilt by association theme once again. With a former anti-war radical coming to light, Barack Obama once again has to defend himself from a person he knew only as a neighbor down the block. Bill Ayers, a retired professor at The University of Illinois branch Chicago became another issues conservatives pounced on. In the late 1960s at the peak of Civil Rights movement and anti-Vietnam protests, Ayers was a leader of the Weather Underground, an anti-war activist group that did domestic terrorism against political establishments. Sean Hannity once again rode this controversy all the way to the election. When former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin came forth during the election, her quote "palling around with terrorists", conservatives managed to sway opinion against the professor and of course Barack Obama. Ambushing Bill Ayers and his family with cameras, conservatives continue to demand Ayers come clean about his relationship with Barack Obama. Recently the issue was rehashed again after conservative agitators Andrew Breitbart and Tucker Carlson went on Sean Hannity's show claiming they've met and dine with the former professor. They believe that he was responsible for writing two of the president's successful books. The issue will not die and expect this continue throughout the election.

8. The culture war is brewing again. After the 2008 U.S. elections, one thing became clear, Republicans wanted to stick anything to Barack Obama. A woman named Peggy Joseph went on camera stating that Barack Obama was going to help her with her bills and make things alright. Conservative went into uproar. Two New Black Panthers were standing at a polling station in Black neighborhood. One holding a baton, and threatening the conservative videographers. They post it online, and it became a conservative outrage. In 2009, Henry "Skip" Gates was arrested at his home by police officer Robert Crowley. The president went forth to acknowledge the issue as a problem due to the unprecedented profiling of Black and Hispanic/Latino males being pulled over. Conservatives went into an uproar. The president goes on Jay Leno and makes a off-color joke that makes fun of his disabilities in certain sports, conservatives went into an uproar claiming the president doesn't respect those with special needs. The president throws the ceremonial baseball pitch, conservatives mock his pitching stance. The president wanted a basketball court added to the White House, conservatives went into an uproar. The president delivers a speech to the elementary and high school students, a traditional theme among previous presidents. Conservatives went forth to pulling their children out of school and boycotting the president's speech. Conservatives went forth to attacking the president, First Lady Michelle Obama and their children for taking vacations. The conservatives blamed the president for overreaching during two terrible hurricanes, the Gulf Oil spill in which BP was responsible, and of course, the continuous blame for the economy. A thing he's inherited since he took office. When the president won a Nobel Peace Price in 2009, conservative went into an uproar. When the president tried to get the Summer Olympics to Chicago and it was rejected, conservative cheered. Glenn Beck, claimed the president has a deep seated hatred for white people. Sarah Palin claimed that President Obama's "Winning The Future" was a "WTF" plan. Rush Limbaugh declared that he "hopes he failed". Bill O'Reilly and Bret Brier interrupts the president during an interview. Fox network omits the president's addresses to the nation for television programs such as Glee and American Idol. The saving of civilians overseas from Somali pirates, the killing of al-Qaeda leaders Osama bin Laden and Anwar al-Awlaki, conservatives give little to no credit for the president effective actions. The constant impatience of the public has waned on his popular and conservatives are relishing in defeating the president.

9. The beginnings of the Tea Party movement. In 2008, the bitter fight between Democratic presidential primaries between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. They managed to take this fight all the way to June 2008 and during that time, a lot of disgruntled Hillary-supporters vowed they'll ditch the Democratic nominee and vote for John McCain the Republican nominee for president. Some have forgotten about the women who were involved in the grassroots movements, such as People United Means Actions (PUMAs), Clintons 4 McCain and Hillbuzz. It's leaders include: Darragh Murphy, Harriet Christian, Christi Adkins and Debra Bartoshevich, former Democrats who claimed that Barack Obama is not worthy of the leading the United States. Most in the media dismissed them as "plants" for the Republican Party, ridiculed them for playing the gender and race card and pretty much wiped them out of the mainstream press.

In November 2008, when Barack Obama secured enough electoral votes to be declared the winner, Republicans look upon this as a disaster and vowed revenge. Most conservatives believe that Barack Obama was given a easy ride based on his race. The conservative bemoan about the media's focus on a historical milestone of nominating an African American for president. They blame Barack Obama for the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act and the Troubled Assets Relief Program. Although President Obama carried upon the actions of these laws, the signature of the final acts were by President George W. Bush. Republicans were upset upon President Obama signing of American Investment Job and Recovery Act in which is stimulate growth in the economy and helped middle class families with a tax cut.

These notions were rejected by conservatives. In February 2009, spurred by outrage at what conservatives claim is "government overreach", the Tea Party was born. What started as a mild protest composed of the cult followers of Republican Congressman Ron Paul of Texas, became the hub for people such as Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, Herman Cain, Joe The Plumber and those disgruntled Hillary Clinton supporters. The disgruntled voters vowed that he will only serve out one term and they will rebound with a suitable president capable of "taking their country back!" They've sought motivation in Glenn Beck, Joe The Plumber, Andrew Breitbart, Dick Armey and even comedian Victoria Jackson.

The process of the Tea Party movement was spurn with disrespect upon the President Obama by Joe Wilson, Republican congressman from South Carolina with "You Lie!" upon the Joint Session of Congress speech. It gave rise to presidential candidate Michele Bachmann, congresswoman from Minnesota. It spurred angry town halls in which Democratic lawmakers were challenged on issues such as the health care reform. It motivated political minded conservatives of Black, Hispanic/Latino and Asian race to enter into politics. Black Republicans such Allen West of Florida, Tim Scott of South Carolina were elected on the motivation of the Tea Party. It help secure the first Latina Susana Martinez woman to be governor of New Mexico.It helped two Bobby Jindal of Louisiana and Nikki Haley of South Carolina to become the first of Indian/Asian decent to be governors of two southern states. The Tea Party managed to elect Senators Jim DeMint of South Carolina, Marco Rubio of Florida, Mike Lee of Utah and Rand Paul of Kentucky. The Tea Party help the Republicans retake the House of Representatives and state/territorial governorships.

Now as the 2012 elections gear up, these elements are still brewing. The Republicans are currently in disarray over the perceive notion that the field of Republican candidates are weak. The Tea Party is really upset with not only President Barack Obama but the Republican leaders as well. The dubbed the moderates and the politically established as RINOs (Republican(s) in Name Only). They are feuding within the party over who's capable of being a conservative leader capable of beating the president. So far, it's still long road ahead with the field and they hope that it can bring them together. In spite of the disarray, Republicans are rushing legislation such as voter identification to prevent Blacks, Hispanic/Latinos, the poor and young voters, a key demographic to Barack Obama from voting. The Republicans are planning to run campaigns to distract voters with culture war issues such as eliminating subsides for lower and middle class, rolling back regulations on the environment, and control a woman's right for birth control.

10. Once again, I stress that the Republican Party and its allies in the conservative movement are wrapping their asses around the American flag in preparedness of a culture war. The culture war has an enemy. The middle class, the working class, the lower class, minorities, [independent women and single mother's] rights, GLBT, those who practice in Islam, and the many supporters of President Barack Obama are considered enemies of the state. The Republicans passed legislation that catered to extremists. Since he took office, the race issue came forth after many Republicans were force to apologize for sending racist and downright offensive emails to their friends. Colorado Republican Congressman Doug Lamborn called President Barack Obama a tar baby. He later apologized. Arizona Republican Congressman Trent Franks questioned his birth certificate, and called him an enemy of humanity. Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky the Republican minority leader, stated his goal was to deny President Barack Obama a second term. Black conservatives play upon the narratives that President Obama is not an effective leader to the Black community. Glenn Beck targeting his former adviser Van Jones. Andrew Breitbart, James O'Keefe went after a community organization known as ACORN. They successful put ACORN out of business. The Republicans passed legislation to cut funding to NPR and Planned Parenthood. Republicans held public sessions to make the case against the Muslim community. The Republicans called for the firing of Attorney General Eric Holder for the mishandling of firearms in which it lead to the killing of a U.S. border agent. Holder, is the first Black attorney general. In states where Republicans were in control, some legislators passed laws that go against the federal government. State Republicans are passing legislation that targets illegal immigrants overstepping the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency. Concealed carry firearms in public places were passed in states. Republicans passed legislation to prevent abortions and outlaw birth control. Voter identification laws were passed to prevent lower incomes and minorities from voting. All these issues are certainly out there and people are not happy about the results.

Republicans are very unpopular right now. They spent a majority of the 112th Congress on culture war issues. The government overreach has made voters in swing states turn sour on the Republicans. Ohio governor John Kasich was handed a defeat after he and Ohio Republicans passed legislation that prevented public sector unions from collective bargaining. Wisconsin governor Scott Walker and Republican state senators are facing a recall election after the passage of a bill that also stripped collective bargaining from public sector unions. Florida governor Rick Scott is under fire for his signing of mandatory drug testing for food stamp and welfare recipients and the rejection of a commutator rail service in the state. Arizona governor Jan Brewer, signed legislation that overstepped the federal government's role in handling illegal immigration. The law is being challenged in court.

The Republican Party have created so many controversies, President Barack Obama's allies can't stop them all at once. My goal is simple. I will waste no time trying to help this man win reelection. I will no longer endorse the notion the Republicans are capable of fixing the economic turmoils we all are facing as Americans. I will continue to stand independent of the situation and offer my honest opinion of issues that matter.

There is no “Go” space in the anti-welfare board game “Obozo’s America,” but rest assured — you can still collect welfare benefits as you pass the “First Of The Month” space.

The game is called “OBOZO’S AMERICA: Why Bother Working for a Living?” with the tagline “The Most Timely and Original Board Game of the Decade!” The website describes it as “a fun fantasy board game based on the preposterous notion that a Marxist clown, running on the vague and shaky platform of hope and change, could become President of The United States.”

The object is to keep collecting benefits while avoiding the “Working Person’s Rut.” From the rather embarrassingly low-tech website:

Get your initial $1,000 cash grant at the First of the Month, then maneuver along Obozo’s Welfare Promenade. Get cash for your out-of-wedlock children. Draw from a stack of Welfare Benefit Cards. Get extra cash from Saturday Night crimes: Gambling, Armed Robbery, Drugs, and Prostitution. Play the lottery and the horses. Get your live-in a job on the Government Cakewalk. Experience the Jail Jaunt. Avoid landing on one of those dreaded “Get a Job” blocks forcing you onto the Working Person’s Rut (Somebody has to pay for Obozo’s Welfare Promenade). 50 Welfare Benefit Cards. 50 Working Person’s Burden Cards. Lots of funny money.

The site features the game’s mascot “Obozo The Marxist Clown” — who also graces the game’s fake currency — and boasts of the “welfare benefit cards” like “you lose perspective and apply for a job, but are denied it. Oboze says: Scream ‘racism’ until welfare lawyer gets you $1,000 settlement.”

In the Economy version of the game, you get “a stack of over a half-a-million dollars in play money (we’re talking serious welfare fraud here), 50 Welfare Benefit Cards, 50 Working Person’s Burden Cards, 30 Out-of-Wedlock Children.” The Deluxe version has a spill-proof surface and the out-of-wedlock children are easier to cut out of the paper they’re printed on.

The game was created by Ron Pramschufer and Bob Johnson, who run Hammerhead Enterprises in Maryland, and was originally released in 1980 as “Public Assistance: Why Bother Working for a Living?”

“We didn’t invent this game, government liberals did,” Johnson said then. “We just put it in a box.”

In a press release Wednesday, Johnson announced that the game was coming back, claiming it “was forced off the retail market in the 1980s by government officials working with the NAACP, NOW, and other welfare ‘rights’ groups.”

“We intended the game as a parody of government liberalism, with a special focus on the able-bodied loaferism, welfare fraud, and social chaos its domestic policies promote,” Johnson wrote in 2009. “Threatened by the game’s popularity, embarrassed liberals successfully implemented a nationwide government plan to ‘remove the game from the marketplace.’”

The game was entangled in a number of lawsuits after several government officials and the NAACP criticized it as racist and sexist for its depiction of “welfare queens” and other stereotypes. Pramschufer and Johnson first sued (sub req.) a New York City official who sent a letter to retailers urging them not to sell the game, saying “keeping this game off the shelves of your stores would be a genuine public service.” They lost the case and their ultimate appeal was rejected by the Supreme Court, but they also filed a suit against the NAACP and NOW, according to the AP (sub req.).

But in the 90s when they re-released the game — complete with a new “Criminal Justice” side of the board — and claimed it had been banned, the Attorney General of Maryland said there was never a ban on the game. “The state wouldn’t have had the authority to ban this game whatsoever,” then-AG Kathy Schultz said (sub req.), according to the Washington Times.

Why Don't They Drug Test Politicians? Obviously They Always Engage In Drunken Behavior! | The Republican Culture War: Drug Testing Welfare Recipients!

ORLANDO, Fla. — A federal judge temporarily blocked Florida's new law that requires welfare applicants to pass a drug test before receiving benefits on Monday, saying it may violate the Constitution's ban on unreasonable searches and seizures.

Judge Mary Scriven ruled in response to a lawsuit filed on behalf of a 35-year-old Navy veteran and single father who sought the benefits while finishing his college degree, but refused to take the test. The judge said there was a good chance plaintiff Luis Lebron would succeed in his challenge to the law based on the Fourth Amendment, which protects individuals from being unfairly searched.

The drug test can reveal a host of private medical facts about the individual, Scriven wrote, adding that she found it "troubling" that the drug tests are not kept confidential like medical records. The results can also be shared with law enforcement officers and a drug abuse hotline.

"This potential interception of positive drug tests by law enforcement implicates a `far more substantial' invasion of privacy than in ordinary civil drug testing cases," Scriven said.

The judge also said Florida didn't show that the drug testing program meets criteria for exceptions to the Fourth Amendment.

The injunction will stay in place until the judge can hold a full hearing on the matter. She didn't say when that hearing will be scheduled.

More than two-dozen states have also proposed drug-testing recipients of welfare or other government assistance, but Florida was the first state to enact such a law in more than a decade. Should any of those states pass a law and face a court challenge, Scriven's ultimate ruling would likely serve as a legal precedent.

The law's proponents include Gov. Rick Scott, who said during his campaign the measure would save $77 million. It's unclear how he arrived at those figures. A spokesman for the Florida Department of Children and Families deferred all comments to the governor's office.

"Drug testing welfare recipients is just a common-sense way to ensure that welfare dollars are used to help children and get parents back to work," said Jackie Schutz, a spokeswoman for Scott. "The governor obviously disagrees with the decision and he will evaluate his options regarding when to appeal."

Earlier this year, Scott also ordered drug testing of new state workers and spot checks of existing state employees under him. But testing was suspended after the American Civil Liberties Union also challenged that policy in a separate lawsuit.

Nearly 1,600 applicants have refused to take the test since testing began in mid-July, but they aren't required to say why. Thirty-two applicants failed the test and more than 7,000 have passed, according to the Department of Children and Families. The majority of positives were for marijuana.

State officials said Monday that applicants previously denied benefits for testing positive or refusing the test could reapply immediately. The Department of Children and Families will also approve all pending applications that await drug test results.

Supporters had argued applicants skipped the test because they knew they would have tested positive for drugs. Applicants must pay $25 to $35 for the test and are reimbursed by the state if they pass. It's unclear if the state has saved money.

Under the Temporary Assistance For Needy Families program, the state gives $180 a month for one person or $364 for a family of four.

Those who test positive for drugs are ineligible for the cash assistance for one year, though passing a drug course can cut that period in half. If they fail a second time, they are ineligible for three years.

Lebron, who is the sole caretaker of his 4-year-old son, said he's "happy that the judge stood up for me and my rights and said the state can't act without a reason or suspicion."

The ACLU says Florida was the first to enact such a law since Michigan tried more than a decade ago. Michigan's random drug testing program for welfare recipients lasted five weeks in 1999 before it was halted by a judge, kicking off a four-year legal battle that ended with an appeals court ruling it unconstitutional.

If one is to believe that interview was out of line, then you're not the only one!

For one thing, Republican candidate Herman Cain was a stand up guy for appearing on a clearly partisan show! It shows that the candidate is at least willing to take on a political enemy as the right put it in the network MSNBC.

Second, if Lawrence O'Donnell would have stayed focus on interviewi­ng Cain on his policies and then focus on his controvers­ial statements­, this wouldn't be the talk in the right wing media.

Third, Cain now is a establishe­d front runner. After this Florida Straw Poll, and a CBS poll putting him in a statistic tie with former governor of Massachuse­tts, Mitt Romney, Cain is riding in the limelight.

After scandals affected Rick Perry's campaign, Herman Cain quietly came into the focus.

O'Donnell should have not went into the "culture war". That's like picking with a hornets nest!

The right will drive this issue for weeks to come!

Let's go back to the days of Don Imus.

I remember that one in particular Sean Hannity didn't have a problem with Imus' controvers­ial rants of the female basketball players at Rutgers University­. MSNBC pulled the plug on that show.

And within a few months, Imus talked to Roger Ailes about reviving his career and there you have it. The controvers­ial talker is on Fox Business Network at the assistance of Sean Hannity pleading to Roger Ailes to hire "this guy on!"

Now onto this tobacco chewing, Jack Daniels breath smelling, douchebag!

Listening to how he's a frequent contributo­r to Fox News. His often blunt comments never got that much attention! It was the one time that he managed to throw a racial slur (i.e. Hitler). Then compare the analogy to an ally of the Fox News Channel like Benjamin Netanyahu, probably got the Jewish community upset.

So Sean Hannity will once again go on the defense of this guy! Expect Hannity to have him on his show and use his bumper music.

Then Roger Ailes will hire him on to contribute to pop culture.

Hank Williams, Jr. was either a drunk fool or a dumb fool! He was canned from ESPN's Monday Night Football after he went on a rant about President Obama.

Morgan Freeman laid down the chips on the Tea Party in a new interview with Piers Morgan that is due to air Friday night.

The Oscar-winning actor sat down with the British TV host and, amongst other things, discussed his belief that the right wing Tea Party's anti-Obama stance is rooted in racism.

When asked by Morgan whether Obama's presidency has made racism in the United States better or worse, Freeman, who once played apartheid-defying South African president Nelson Mandela, frankly stated that his time in office has made it worse, as he has become a target of the right's aggression.

"Their stated policy, publicly stated, is to do whatever it takes to see to it that Obama only serves one term," the actor said. "What's, what does that, what underlines that? 'Screw the country. We're going to whatever we do to get this black man, we can, we're going to do whatever we can to get this black man outta here.'"

Declaring once again that "it's a racist thing," Freeman said the group's rise has shown the hate still lingering in America.

"Well, it just shows the weak, dark, underside of America," he said. "We're supposed to be better than that. We really are. That's, that's why all those people were in tears when Obama was elected president. "Ah, look at what we are. Look at how, this is America." You know? And then it just sort of started turning because these people surfaced like stirring up muddy water."

The actor continued, saying that he understood President Obama not fighting back, seeking to stick to his principles, but wishes that he'd be more aggressive now.

Freeman endorsed Obama during his run for the presidency, but declined to campaign with him, saying that he was an actor, not a politician. He attended a White House Civil Rights concert in 2010.

Exposing bigotry on Facebook, YouTube and other social media

Bigots have ramped up sharply on Facebook, YouTube and other social media, with very anti-social aims -- including racism, anti-Semitism, homophobia and Islamophobia -- according to a new report on the topic.

"They come for all the reasons everyone else does," Rabbi Abraham Cooper, associate dean of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, said during a recent visit to South Florida. "For bigots, it's a way to reach the mainstream with its message."

Cooper was sharing the results of "Digital Hate," an annual report issued by the Los Angeles-based center.

The 13th annual report analyzes the spread of prejudice over blogs, message boards and other new media.

The rabbi was in South Florida to share the material with religious leaders, alerting them on what to watch for.

He plans to return in mid-April to brief law enforcement officers and political leaders, he said. And he has plenty to share.

The current report counts 14,000 sites, up from 11,500 just last year. They're run by everything from Klansmen to neo-Nazis to radical Muslims to Bulgarian, Japanese and other nationalist extremists.

And they're increasingly using otherwise legitimate sites like Twitter, MediaFire, even eBay. The report says "Arrahmah.com" uses the Flickr.com photo-sharing site to post free wallpapers, or desktop computer pictures, glorifying the three terrorists who bombed a nightclub in Bali in 2002.

They even spoof or imitate other sites, the Wiesenthal researchers have found. "Real Zionist News" looks like a Jewish newsfeed, but the articles instead say Jews control the White House and are attacking Christianity worldwide.

That's a standard theme of anti-Semites: that Jews control nations from behind the scenes. "800 Pound Gorilla," which uses the Wordpress blogging site, blames Jews for the terrorist attacks of 9-11. The site also denies the Holocaust and connects Kaballah with Freemasonry.

Bigots also have their own music stars. Alcoholocaust is best known for its black-hating and Jew-hating song "Joo Slaughter," posted on YouTube. People Haters produced "Day of the Rope," which adds gays to the death-wish list -- to a background of giggling children.

The "subculture of hate," as the Wiesenthal Center calls it, includes hate games. "Ethnic Cleansing" lets a player hunt blacks, Jews and Hispanics. And in an Iranian version of the old game "Snakes and Ladders," the snakes bear British and Israeli flags and Obama's face, the Wiesenthal report says.

Distortions even creep onto otherwise legitimate sites. Answering-christianity.com, which tries to persuade Christians to become Muslims, says the whole United States is the Antichrist. The site also argues that the 9-11 terrorist attack was an "inside terrorist job" of the U.S. and the Mossad, the Israeli spy agency.

The Wiesenthal report also notes a rise in online attacks against religious and ethnic communities.

"Bulgarian National Union" is an anti-immigrant, anti-gypsy and homophobic group, the Wiesenthal Center says. "Zaitokukai" focuses Japanese resentment against Koreans, Chinese and Christians in Japan. The group has grown almost purely through the web, Cooper says.

And the hate often goes beyond words. Several sites offer instructions for making poisons, explosives and cell phone detonators. "Black Tearful Days," a posting in December on several jihadist sites, has diagrams showing how to place bombs in a vest and an SUV.

"If you believe in religious freedom, you're committed to a world in which families should be able to go to prayers and return to their homes without fear of intimidation or violence," Cooper said.

Computers themselves become weapons. Members of a group based in Algeria, Turkey and Morocco say they hacked several Israeli websites, including jerusalemonline.com, the Wiesenthal report says. Reposting on the Al Qassam forum, they showed pictures and propaganda that they'd planted.

Cooper shares the "Digital Hate" report not only with local groups, but also the FBI and Homeland Security.

The group's website, wiesenthal.com, also sells the CD to the public for $20.

Finally, the Internet can police itself, the rabbi says. Social site managers can ban users who violate terms-of-service-agreements, which usually cover bigotry.

Once alerted, Facebook took down "Burn a Jew Day," "Kill a Jew Day" and "Kill a Jew Year." The site has also removed pages by Canadian neo-Nazi Kevin Goudreau. Each time, however, Goudreau simply starts another page -- more than 20 times thus far.

Cooper smiles. "Facebook is our biggest problem and our biggest ally."

Remember how news aggregator Matt Drudge has basically turned his site into a one-stop shop for news about black people being scary? ThinkProgress has found some people who are really excited about this development. They are, of course, the white supremacists of the Council of Conservative Citizens.

ThinkProgress and the Southern Poverty Law Center report that the neo-confederate CCC recently crowed on their website that Mr. Drudge's famous report looked remarkably like their own work.

"Drudge Report currently resembles CofCC.org," goes the headline.. (Heads up: link goes to neo-confederate white supremacist site!) "The extremely popular news aggregate Drudge Report appears to be the only major news outlet bringing up the astronomical amount of black crime taking place." And then there is the link to Drudge's list of all the "melees" and "chaos" that happened during a holiday weekend when lots of drunk revelers across the nation sometimes get rowdy (and are sometimes shot dead, by police officers).

So: Nice new friends you have made, Matt.

You know how every so often the lamestream media publishes or airs a bunch of stories about how influential and important Matt Drudge is? And it's proper "news" when he hires right-wing journalists to help him "cover" the elections or even when he simply promotes a friend's book? DEERFIELD TWP. — A national organization has targeted a neighborhood here to pass out raciest fliers pertaining to the Aug. 3 shooting deaths of two teenagers.

The National Alliance placed the racist letters on car windshields, telephone poles and on doors in the area of the Four Paws Grooming and Kennel on Landen Road.

Four Paws is where Troy Penn, an 18-year-old black Kings High School senior, and shot and killed his ex-girlfriend, 17-year-old Amanda Borsos, with a shotgun. He then fled the scene and staged a brief standoff in his nearby home before killing himself with the same gun.

The letter is addressed to “White Parents” and warns “Don’t let your daughter date blacks, it might be a matter of life and death.” The two-page diatribe attacks blacks and those of Jewish faith and refers specifically to the murder-suicide.

Warren County Sheriff Larry Sims said nothing in the fledgling investigation into the murder-suicide points to a racial motivation. He said it looks as if the incident was over a breakup.

Sims’ office is investigating who is passing out the fliers.

“On the surface we don’t know that there is anything criminally wrong, but they certainly are inciting,” he said. “The language in there is certainly very disturbing, we’d like to know the motivation behind it. There is no indication at all this homicide-suicide was racially driven.”

Sims said the flyers began appearing on cars and telephone poles, and one was even posted on the day care sometime after midnight on Tuesday.

The National Alliance is located in Hillsboro, W. Va., according to the group’s website. The group is listed as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center, which tracks such organizations. The National Alliance was for decades the most dangerous and best organized neo-Nazi formation in America, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center.

A neighbor who lives near Penn’s home, Amy Hosier, has been collecting and disposing of the “offensive” messages.

“If I saw (the fliers), I threw them away. There’s never a reason any of it should happen,” she said.

“Anytime they can get their pedestal and soapbox, they do.”

The owner of Four Paws, Rob Ashe, who was Borsos’ boss, said his staff was upset when they arrived to work.

“The staff came in this morning and they were disgusted,” Ashe said.

Sims said it will be a couple weeks before they are finished with the shooting investigation, including where Penn got the shotgun.

Borsos was buried on Saturday and funeral arrangements for Penn have been kept private.

DHS Video Characterizes White Americans as Most Likely Terrorists

A new promotional video released by the Department of Homeland Security characterizes white middle class Americans as the most likely terrorists, as Big Sis continues its relentless drive to cement the myth that mad bombers are hiding around every corner, when in reality Americans are just as likely to be killed by lightning strikes or peanut allergies.

The video is part of Homeland Security’s $10 million dollar “See Something, Say Something” program that encourages Americans to report “suspicious activity,” which in every case throughout history has been a trait of oppressive, dictatorial regimes.

In the course of the 10 minute clip, a myriad of different behaviors are characterized as terrorism, including opposing surveillance, using a video camera, talking to police officers, wearing hoodies, driving vans, writing on a piece of paper, and using a cell phone recording application.

Despite encouraging viewers not to pay attention to a person’s race in determining whether or not they may be a terrorist, almost all of the scenarios in the clip proceed to portray white people as the most likely terrorists. Bizarrely, nearly every single one of the “patriotic” Americans who reports on their fellow citizen is either black, Asian or Arab. Imagine if the video had portrayed every terrorist as an Arab and every patriotic snoop as white, there’d be an outcry and rightly so, but this strange reversal must have been deliberate on the part of the DHS, but why? Is this merely political correctness taken to the extreme or is something deeper at work?

Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that the DHS’ own internal documents list predominantly white conservative groups as the most likely terrorists, such as Ron Paul supporters, gun owners, gold bullion enthusiasts, and a myriad of other comparatively banal political interests that are largely the domain of white middle class Americans.

This has little to do with the color of a person’s skin, and everything to do with the fact that white, middle class Americans are the biggest roadblock when it comes to Big Sis expanding its control over every facet of American society.

It’s plain to see that very little of the budget for this video went towards paying for decent actors, but perhaps it’s fitting that the participants were about as believable as Santa and his elves, because the notion that terrorists are hovering around every underground parking lot waiting to blow up federal buildings is demonstrably false.

As Ohio University’s John Mueller has documented, the likelihood of actually being a victim of terrorism is infinitesimally small, and only highlights how such threats are hyperbolically exaggerated for political purposes.

Figures collected by Mueller clearly show that Americans are just as likely to be killed by lightning strikes, accident-causing deer, or severe allergic reactions to peanuts.

But the facts don’t matter for a federal agency whose primary function is to manufacture fear to keep Americans under control and submissive to the fact that their economic futures and their constitutional rights are being torn to shreds by their own government while it points to a contrived outside threat as a convenient distraction.

“At its core, the video is filled with scenes of ordinary citizens spying on each other and alerting the authorities to their compatriots’ suspicious deeds,” writes Simon Black. In my favorite scene, a woman calls the police after snooping over the shoulder of a young man typing away on his smartphone.”

Black notes that such videos are solely aimed at reinforcing ignorance, hate and fear for those who still live in darkness and are completely unaware of the real agenda behind Homeland Security’s “see something, say something” charade.

But what is that agenda?

No matter where you look, from East Germany, to Communist Russia, to Nazi Germany, historically governments who encourage their own citizens to report on each other do so not for any genuine safety concerns or presumed benefits to security, but in order to create an authoritarian police state that coerces the people into policing each other’s behavior and thoughts.

As Robert Gellately of Florida State University has highlighted, Germans under Hitler denounced their neighbors and friends not because they genuinely believed them to be a security threat, but because they expected to selfishly benefit from doing so, both financially, socially and psychologically via a pavlovian need to be rewarded by their masters for their obedience.

At the height of its influence around one in seven of the East German population was an informant for the Stasi. As in Nazi Germany, the creation of an informant system was wholly centered around identifying political dissidents and those with grievances against the state, and had little or nothing to do with genuine security concerns.

This is the kind of society the Department of Homeland Security is, whether deliberately or inadvertently, recreating in 21st century America. It is about as far removed as you can possibly get from the vision the founders of the nation had in mind when they created the Bill of Rights and the Declaration of Independence.

Comment by Alex Jones: This DHS video is purposefully designed to transmit fear and hatred of Muslims over to white Americans. Look at the part of the clip where an image of “Jihad Jane” is displayed, the blue eyes are artificially intensified in order to get the message across. 

This is about playing minorities off against whites, creating further resentment and suspicion, getting us at each other’s throats just as how different racial groups were set upon each other in Hitler’s Germany to create an environment of fear and distrust, motivating people to inform on each other for the state.

Gov. Jan Brewer (R-AZ), who has been a darling on the right for her battles with the Obama administration over illegal immigration, health care and other issues, has now taken a potentially bold step against the Tea Party base: She has vetoed a "birther bill" -- a piece of legislation motivated by conspiracy theories about President Obama place of birth, requiring candidates for public office to submit proof of U.S. citizenship to the state Secretary of State before they could appear on the state's ballot.

"I do not support designating one person as the gatekeeper to the ballot for a candidate, which could lead to arbitrary or politically motivated decisions," Brewer said in her veto message, the Associated Press reports. Brewer herself is a former Arizona Secretary of State.

"In addition, I never imagined being presented with a bill that could require candidates for president of the greatest and most powerful nation on Earth to submit their early baptismal circumcision certificates' among other records to the Arizona secretary of state. This is a bridge too far."

Earlier, Brewer had foreshadowed her decision with skeptical statements about the bill: "I think my big concern probably, just shooting a little bit from the hip, is the fact that I don't know if we regulate federal elections."

It should be noted, however, that the bill had previously passed the legislature with margins that would potentially be veto-proof: 20-9 in the Senate, and 40-16 in the House. The question, then, is whether Brewer's veto would take the wind out of the bill's sails or if its backers will try to override the veto and be able to hold on to their numbers.

Orange County CA GOP Member Sends Racist Email

Today’s installment of “heinous, unacceptable racism disguised as ‘jokes’” features a Republican official on Orange County, California, President Obama, and monkeys in photoshop. GOP official Marilyn Davenport is coming under fire for sending other Republican officials an email depicting President Obama as a chimpanzee, in the arms of chimpanzee “parents,” claiming, “Now you know why– no birth certificate! [sic].” Davenport is sticking to her guns, blaming the media for making too much of a fuss.

Among Davenport’s detractors (including, one would hope, “everyone else”), local news station KCAL caught up with former California Republican chairman Michael Schroder, who correctly posited: “no average person would send this out and feel comfortable with this, that this was just a joke.” Then again, Schroder also notes Davenport doesn’t come into this embarrassment with a clean slate– among the people in Orange County Republican politics she has defended are an official who sent an email with an illustration of the White House covered in watermelons and an official who opposed the installation of grass near beaches on the point that “grass attracts Mexicans.”

Nonetheless, Davenport said off-camera that she considered the email merely a “joke” and was confused as to why the media had blown the issue way out of proportion. She is still on the governing board of the county party, though one can expect that not for long.

Eric Holder Lashes Out At Congress Over Decision To Try KSM In Military Tribunal

WASHINGTON -- After announcing it would try 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four alleged conspirators by military commission rather than in a civilian trial, the Obama administration quickly scapegoated Congress to explain the decision.

Attorney General Eric Holder announced Monday that his department was scrapping its November 2009 decision to hold Mohammed’s high-profile trial just blocks from the World Trade Center. Instead, they were moving the venue to Guantanamo Bay. Holder and other administration officials said the policy reversal was due to congressional interference in executive counterterrorism efforts and “needless” drumming-up of controversy.

“The reality is, I know this case in ways that members of Congress do not,” Attorney General Eric Holder said during a press conference. “I have looked at the files. I have spoken to the prosecutors. I know the tactical concerns that have to go into this decision. So do I know better than them? Yes.”

The attorney general said had not arrived at the decision comfortably. Had he had his druthers, Holder claimed, he would have kept the trial in its original setting, but the legislative branch controls the money for transferring the prisoners and securing the site.

The Ike Skelton National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2011 prohibits use of funds to transfer defendants from Guantanamo Bay to the United States. In a file dismissing the indictment of Mohammed and the four alleged conspirators sent to the Southern District of New York on Monday morning, members of the U.S. Attorney’s Office pointed to the act as the prohibitive restriction preventing a federal trial.

Before Holder’s announcement, a Department of Justice official said that a military commission trial had become the “only option available given congressional restrictions.” If the message wasn’t clear enough, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney cited “congressional reaction to some of the goals that were laid out” as one of the reasons for the reversal. Asked whether blaming Congress was going to be the simple pushback, another official replied, “We're just explaining the facts.”

“[Congress has] taken one of the nation’s most tested counterterrorism tools off the table and tied our hands in a way that would have serious ramifications,” Holder said. “We will continue to seek to repeal those restrictions.”

If the Obama administration were seeking to make a villain out of the legislative branch, they had willing partners in some congressional lawmakers. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) took a break from budget negotiations to praise the administration for following the will of an “overwhelming bipartisan opposition from the American people and their elected representatives here in Congress.” Senator Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) called Holder’s announcement the “final nail in the coffin of that wrong-headed idea,” referring to the possibility of a civilian trial. Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.), chair of the Homeland Security Committee, described the change as “a long-awaited step in the right direction.”

Others in Washington seemed to agree with Holder that Congress had played a guiding role in the reversal of course. “I believe that the Congress forced the president into this decision,” Col. Lawrence Wilkerson said, “first, by their abject lack of courage in not wanting [Mohammed] tried ‘in their city, in their courtroom,’ and, second, by their inability to present the president with an alternative other than the military system.”

But Wilkerson, a onetime chief of staff to Secretary of State Colin Powell, refused to absolve the Obama administration entirely. “Of course the president, in complying, demonstrated a decided lack of moral courage as well,” he said.

It appears debates over the legal parameters of national security law don’t break down perfectly either along party lines or between branches of government. And while the vast majority of lawmakers praised moving Mohammed’s trial back to Guantanamo, others expressed both disappointment with the development and with what they considered to be Obama’s willingness to let it happen.

"I felt that if the scene of the crime was New York, why not try him in New York?" Rep. Jose Serrano (D-N.Y.) said. “I don't think we should do anything that gives the terrorists the ability to say they've disrupted the normal way we do things. Normally, we would have tried [Mohammed] at the scene of the crime.”

Michael Ratner, president of the Center for Constitutional Rights, said, “Had [Obama] showed some courage to begin with on these national security issues, I think he could have made huge gains.” But, he added, “Obama backed down every time there was a whiff of an oppositional problem on national security.”

There's more important things for the Justice Department­. According to the American people, there's a birth certificat­e that Barack Obama must show since he's not a legitimate president.

Or the New Black Panther Party. You know those two guys that were in a Black neighborho­od who were "blocking" white voters from entering a polling place.

And there's the issue with Shira's Law. You know there's thousands of Americans who want Shira's Law and despite it never happening in the United States, our two Muslim (by the way Black) congressma­n and Radical Imams wants it so they can punish our patriotic American who relish in Don't Tread On Me Flags, and Old Glories.

No Eric Holder, Attorney General of The United States, the American people want to worry about your words about being a "nation of cowards when it comes to race", or "my peoples". Even though they taken statements out of context, the American people think that your handling of our safety is completely a disaster.

No matter how many years ago, we the American people would rather forget the first conspirato­rs of WTC in 1993. They were tried and convicted in U.S. Federal Court and sent to prisons.

Seriously, Attorney General Holder was really annoyed with Congress. The Republican­s invoked fear and the Democratic Party were concern about their loses in the 2010 Midterm Elections. They bucked the Justice Department­.

Now if they were to be in Federal Court and convicted, then it's off to Supermax Prisons.

​For a political party that keeps harping on Democrats for trying to control people's lives, Republicans in Minnesota sure are doing some weird things. First, they want government to control decisions made between pregnant women and their physicians. Now they want to make sure that poor people never have more than $20 in their pockets. A bill introduced by Rep. Kurt Daudt (R-Crown) would prohibit people who use EBT cards--government assistance on plastic--from withdrawing cash at ATMs with the cards, except for $20 per month.

We haven't been able to reach Daudt yet, but Angel Buechner of the Welfare Rights Committee is not amused.

"The Welfare Rights Committee would like to state that this Bill, House File 171, is not based in any common sense or fiscal responsibility," Buechner said at this week's hearing on the bill. "It is appears to be based on knee-jerk, ignorant bias and a desire to stigmatize the poor."

The bill (see the text here) would require cashiers to ask for photo ID and prohibit EBT-card holders from purchasing alcohol or cigs.

​As things stand now, people using EBT cards are allowed to withdraw cash, which works out well for them because a lot of stores don't have EBT hook-ups. If the bill passes, all those stores would have to get EBT connections, or poor people using the cards would have a limit on where they could shop.

We reached Jodi Boyne, director of public affairs for House Republican Caucus, and she confirmed that the intent of the bill is to crack down on public money used for bad stuff--those alcohol and cigs again--and actually, in some cases, at a casino, according to this KSTP news report.

"There is documented evidence that these cards have been used for fraudulent purposes, and it's looking at addressing that," Boyne says.

Since I'm a Black person, they'll just say I'm a "racist" for voting for Barack Obama because it's not fair that Black American voters have a choice between their candidate and the "BLACK" Democratic candidate.

Supporters of the conservati­ves mentioned will use either class warfare rhetoric, name calling, patriotic mongering, use of racial, homophobic­, and disability slurs, and petty smears against the president, his family, Vice President Biden and the Democratic leadership­.

Poll: Whites pessimistic on economy

The prolonged economic downturn has made white Americans – especially those without a college degree – more pessimistic than blacks and Hispanics, and has driven them toward the Republican Party, a new survey has found.

Half of all so-called “non-college whites” identified themselves as Republicans or Republican-leaning independents, including 42 percent who call themselves conservatives, according to data released Tuesday from a poll conducted by The Washington Post, the Kaiser Family Foundation and Harvard University.

Whites surveyed in the poll were generally more negative than blacks and Hispanics about their own economic prospects and those for the country, and less educated whites were the most negative. President Barack Obama struggled to capture the non-college white vote in 2008, with then-Sen. Hillary Clinton beating him by a 2-to-1 margin among that demographic in the Democratic primaries. Republican Sen. John McCain won 58 percent of the non-college white vote in 2008, while Obama got the support of 40 percent of the demographic.

Sixty-eight percent of blacks and 46 percent of Hispanics said that Democrats understand Americans’ economic problems better than Republicans, while 27 percent of whites said the same. Whites, though, are more positive about the GOP, with 38 percent of those surveyed saying Republicans feel Americans’ financial pain better than Democrats. Just 8 percent of blacks and 19 percent of Hispanics said the same.

Non-college whites were less positive about the Obama administration’s efforts to improve the economy than were more educated whites – 14 percent of non-college whites said the president’s economic policies are making the economy better, but double that percentage of college-educated whites said the same.

Overall, 18 percent of whites said they thought the president’s economic policies were helping the economy improve, while 59 percent of blacks and 36 percent of Hispanics said Obama’s policies were helping the economy get better.

One in 10 whites without a college degree said they are satisfied with the economy, while about 60 percent said the country’s best days are behind it and that it will be a long time before the economy begins to recover. Blacks were more optimistic, with 35 percent of those surveyed saying the country’s best years were in the past, and 59 percent saying better days are still to come.

Whites are also downtrodden about their own economic prospects than they have been in years past, with 41 percent of whites surveyed saying that “hard work is no guarantee of success” in the U.S. economy, and 43 percent of non-college whites saying the same.

Chris Matthews is no better than the average Glenn Beck or Sean Hannity on their worse day with a headache and sour throat.

I usually throw my most harshest comments at Rush Limbaugh, Matt Drudge, Andrew Breitbart, Bill O'Reilly, Greta Van Susteren, Beck and Hannity! But it's going to be some my harshest comments aimed at Matthews, Ed Schultz, Eliot Spitzer, Keith Olbermann, Stephanie Miller, and Randi Rhodes!

The left should let the right destroy themselves­. We know [these conservati­ves] are not productive to public discourse, why are you stooping to their level?

The left talkers shouldn't feed the fire of those who relish in this division and divisivene­ss of the American political movement! After this comment, I'll be willing to tone it down only if the heated rhetoric is lowered a notch!

I made a video denouncing Republicans lame attempt to court Black voters with this "Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Was A Republican" campaign. Also took a parting shot at NPR and Fox News commentator Juan Williams.

if you are annoyed with Republicans and conservatives pushing this "Martin Luther King Jr. was a Republican", tell them the Democratic Party can claim the first black president and first woman House Speaker. Barack Obama was endorsed by Bernice King and Martin Luther King III, the leaders of the SCLC.

No matter how hard, France Rice and her Black Republicans tried, they failed in bring Blacks to the Republican Party. Just 12% of Blacks support the Republican Party.

The treatment of Michael Steele also shows that the Republicans have no patience for people who don't fit the agenda.

Conservatives whether they are Democrat or Republican harbor bigoted views towards, Blacks, Hispanics, Middle Eastern American, GLBT, and women.

Even though many who were close to the preacher claim that King was nonpartisan, this rumor was spewed on the internet by Rice and a former SCLC worker by the name of
Alveda King who was the niece of Dr. King.

Francis Rice her organization the National Black Republican Association tried to murky the Democratic primaries by present the tired Martin Luther King Jr. was a Republican. Thankfully this woman and her group were properly dismissed by many including the Southern Christian Leadership Conference.

The National Black Republicans Association (NBRA) is a Florida based group of African American conservatives. NBRA is led by Dr. Frances Rice, a staunch conservative who is an African American. Rice was former lieutenant colonel in the United States Air Force, by my account. Her group is funded by the Heritage Foundation and has at most over 100 members. http://nbra.info/

Lynn Swann, Michael Steele and J. Kenneth (Ken) Blackwell were the first Republican African Americans from their home state to run for higher political office. Swann lost in a race for Pennsylvania governor. Steele lost in a U.S. Senate race in Maryland, then later ran for the National Republican Chairman's position. Blackwell lost in a race for governor for Ohio. So far the only achievements in the Congress since J.C. Watts, Jr. are freshman Tea Party Republican Congressmen Allen West of Florida and Tim Scott of South Carolina.

I can't say much about Michael Steele, these days. He embroiled in a major scandal right now and is at the verge of being fired by Republicans. He stumbled by apologize to Rush Limbaugh, spending on his book tour and lavish parties. Steele, a moderate Black Republican claims he's a conservative.

Did anyone remind these clowns on the right that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was nonpartisan?

Did anyone remind these clowns on the right that, Martin Luther King, Jr. and Coretta Scott King were considered liberal for their views on civil rights, human rights, stance against the Vietnam War and concerns for poverty?

Did anyone remind these clowns that 1960s New York Congressman Emanuel Celler, Democrat drafted the bill? By the way, he was a White Jewish man who pushed for equal rights.

Did these clowns on the right happen to mention that the 88th and 89th United States Congress was controlled by Democratic Party?

Did anyone remind these clowns about Wisconsin Senator Joseph McCarthy, Arizona Senator Berry Goldwater, both Republicans and their stances on civil rights?

Did anyone remind these clowns on the right about J. Edgar Hoover's attempts to label Dr. King a "communist" and "socialist"? It's kind of like today's modern conservatives are attacking President Obama by labeling him as such!

Did anyone remind these clowns about current West Virgina Senator Robert Byrd, denouncing his past and endorsing then-senator Barack Obama for president?

Can someone remind the Republicans that non-whites (Black, Hispanic, Arab, Asian, and Native Americans) have very little support for the party today! In the 2006 Midterm Elections, the GOP won 51% of white votes, 37% of Asian votes, and 30% of Hispanic votes, while winning only 10% of Black votes.

Can someone remind the Republicans, that the Democratic Party can claim the first Black president?

I'm just saying!

Today's Republican Party is embolden in the divisive politics once practiced 50 years ago. They have no concerns about Civil Rights! They are not reaching out to non-white voters. And sure the Republicans this year won the midterms with gains and least members of Congress who are non-white, their positions are setbacks to the achievements of Dr. Martin Luther King.

Anyone who harbors conservative views, whether they are Democrat, Republican or Independent are single issue voters who have a bigoted view of Blacks, Hispanics, Arab Americans, Native Americans, women and GLBT.

I am not a race-baiter or a Democrat. I am an independent voter who is socially liberal, fiscally conservative. Pretty much a moderate. I don't follow groups and you are not my brother. I have a sister.
